Peter

Life With Christ

A fisherman who was called upon by Jesus Christ. "And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it."(Matthew 16:18). The embondiment of God does not call on the qualified. He qualifies the called. From a simple fisherman, to being entrusted by Jesus Christ, to denying he knew Jesus on Good Friday, to being amongst the first to see him after his resurrection. The epitome of God forgives us all if we truly repent for what we have done.

Life After The Ascension

Author of the books 1 and 2 Peter. He was the leader of the early Church, preached at Pentecost and was martyred in Rome under Nero. Requested to be crucified upside down as he felt unworthy of dying the same way as Jesus. St. Peters basillica is built on top of the grave of St. Peter. He is the rock that the Catholic church is metaphorically and literally built upon.
